In 2007, Dr. Andrea Frome earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science in Jitendra Malik’s Computer Vision lab at UC Berkeley for work applying machine learning to object recognition. Since then her work has included leading the visual recognition team within Street View, co-developing DeViSE and exploring attention-like algorithms as an engineer and researcher on the Google Brain team, serving as an engineer on the Hillary For America campaign, and acting as Director of Research at Clarifai. Currently she is working with a variety of large and small clients as an independent consultant and contractor.
